Barry DixonInspirations - What inspires the modern interior designer and the interiors they create?
Presented by, Barry Dixon

Believing that “the greatest quality a home might possess is that of innate, soulful hospitality,” Barry Dixon has become one of the nation’s most sought-after designers. For eight consecutive years, House Beautiful has identified him as one of America’s top designers; his work is featured frequently in numerous publications, including Veranda, Traditional Home, Coastal Living, House and Garden, Southern Accents, Metropolitan Home, and House Beautiful. He is also a frequent design contributor on network television including Good Morning America, HGTV, Style Network and Fox Television. “Barry Dixon Interiors,” Barry’s first book, was published in September, 2008 and has gone into its third printing. His newest book, “Barry Dixon Inspirations”, is now in bookstores.

Barry’s father, who was a metallurgist for an international company based in Germany, moved his family to exotic cities all over the world, elements of which are reflected in Barry’s work. Living in India, Pakistan, Korea, New Caledonia and South Africa, where he graduated from high school, gave Barry a global perspective and laid the foundation for his future.

Barry’s own furniture line with Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth was launched in 2005 and has been praised by editors not only from coast to coast, but abroad as well. His rug collection with Megerian was launched in January, 2009 while his fabric collection with Vervain debuted at Maison Objets in Paris in January 2010.

Please join MODA Antica for a reception in their showroom immediately following this presentation.

Designer's Network Events

The Designer's Network is a forum to educate, to listen, and to be heard….but mostly just to connect. It provides designers the opportunity to meet, share their stories and their situations together, as peers, not as competitors. The meetings will be 50% educational and 50% social, featuring speakers and topics chosen specifically for designers. The quarterly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm at the Denver Design District and are complimentary.

We invite all members of the trade to join our Designer's Network events.

* Students are welcome to attend Designer Network Events.
