As a degreed and licensed interior designer with experience in many areas of my profession, my favorite is residential planning and design. I delight in creating warm and inviting homes for my clients.
I design spaces that reflect my clients’ personalities and interests – uncluttered and refined spaces with a few unexpected twists thrown in. Clients and I work together as a team to create the appropriate spatial needs, budgets and time frames. I believe that changing a client’s living and work space needs to be an enjoyable pleasant experience for everyone.
I present clients with choices, ideas and solutions they didn’t know existed. Clients’ final decisions are based on their tastes and lifestyles, with just a little help from me. I’m a huge proponent of good lighting. It makes everyone and everything look so much better. When needed, my experience with design for persons with challenges comes into play.
Design influences can be global. I’ve had the good fortune to have lived in various cities and traveled to even more. It’s exciting for me to help clients combine the influences of their lives – prior locales, heritage, travels and collections – into their personal styles.
Nothing makes me happier than when a client is surprised at how wonderful the newly designed spaces are – even better than imagined.
